TL;DR
This paper uses Monte Carlo simulations to determine the critical exponents of 2D scalar field theories at the tricritical point, confirming conformal invariance predictions.
Contribution
It provides the first numerical verification of the tricritical behavior in 2D scalar field theories aligning with conformal field theory conjectures.
Findings
Critical exponents match Zamolodchikov's conformal invariance predictions
Numerical results support the universality class of the tricritical point
Monte Carlo methods effectively analyze phase transitions in 2D field theories
Abstract
We compute by Monte Carlo numerical simulations the critical exponents of two-dimensional scalar field theories at the tricritical point. The results are in agreement with the Zamolodchikov conjecture based on conformal invariance.
