K. C. Bowler, et al. (UKQCD Collaboration)

TL;DR
This paper presents a lattice QCD calculation of the form factor for exclusive $b o s \, ext{gamma}$ decays, providing theoretical predictions consistent with experimental measurements.
Contribution
It introduces a lattice QCD method to compute the $T_1(q^2=0)$ form factor for $B o K^* \, ext{gamma}$ decays, using improved fermion actions and two assumptions about form factor dependence.
Findings
Calculated $T_1(q^2=0)$ for $B o K^* \, ext{gamma}$ decays.
Results are consistent with CLEO experimental branching ratios.
Provides theoretical input for understanding rare $b$-quark decays.
Abstract
We calculate the leading-order matrix element for exclusive decays of in the quenched approximation of lattice QCD on a lattice at , using an O(a)-improved fermion action. The matrix element is used to extract the on-shell form factor for and , using two different assumptions about the dependence of the form factors for these decays. For , is determined to be or in the two cases. We find the results to be consistent (in the Standard Model) with the CLEO experimental branching ratio of .
