TL;DR
This paper introduces a lattice simulation method to evaluate the slope of the Isgur-Wise function at zero recoil, aiding in precise extraction of the CKM matrix element V_{cb} from B to D* decays.
Contribution
It presents a novel lattice-based approach to compute derivatives of the Isgur-Wise function, crucial for experimental data extrapolation in flavor physics.
Findings
Method successfully computes the slope at zero recoil.
Enables more accurate determination of V_{cb}.
Provides a framework for higher derivatives evaluation.
Abstract
We propose a method for evaluating the slope (and higher derivatives) of the Isgur-Wise function at the zero recoil point using lattice simulations. These derivatives are required for the extrapolation of the experimental data for decays to the zero recoil point, from which the element of the CKM-matrix can be determined.
