Jeroen C. Vink

TL;DR
This paper presents a method to restore gauge invariance in lattice chiral fermion actions using Laplacian gauge fixing, which avoids Gribov ambiguities and ensures unambiguous gauge fixing.
Contribution
The paper introduces a gauge fixing approach based on Laplacian gauge fixing to make lattice chiral fermion actions gauge invariant without ambiguities.
Findings
Method effectively restores gauge invariance in lattice actions
Laplacian gauge fixing is free from Gribov ambiguities
Approach maintains gauge invariance up to global transformations
Abstract
Straight foreward lattice descriptions of chiral fermions lead to actions that break gauge invariance. I describe a method to make such actions gauge invariant (up to global gauge transformations) with the aid of gauge fixing. To make this prescription unambiguous, Laplacian gauge fixing is used, which is free from Gribov ambiguities.
