TL;DR
This paper introduces a novel lattice QCD method for calculating hadron scattering lengths and mass splittings, providing new insights into hadron interactions and properties.
Contribution
It proposes a new technique for computing multi-point functions and disconnected diagrams in lattice QCD, enabling more accurate hadron scattering and mass splitting calculations.
Findings
Pion-pion scattering length measured
Pion-nucleon scattering length estimated
Nucleon-nucleon scattering length obtained
Abstract
Method of calculating hadron multi-point functions and disconnected quark loop contributions which are not readily accessible through conventional techniques is proposed. Results are reported for pion-pion, pion-nucleon and nucleon-nucleon scattering lengths and the flavor singlet-non singlet meson mass splitting estimated in quenched QCD.
