TL;DR
This study computes the hadron spectrum in quenched QCD using various quark sources, demonstrating consistent ground state masses across sources and approximate excited state masses, contributing to lattice QCD spectral analysis.
Contribution
It compares different quark sources in quenched QCD to evaluate their effectiveness in spectrum calculations, a novel approach in this context.
Findings
Ground state masses agree across source types
Excited state masses are consistent with experimental data within errors
Different sources yield similar results for ground states
Abstract
We present the results for the hadron spectrum calculated on 400 configurations using point source, wall source and 8-cubic sources, in quenched QCD with Wilson fermions at and on a lattice. The results for the ground state masses obtained with three types of quark sources agree well with each other. Masses of the first excited states appear consistent with experimental values within large errors.
