A lattice calculation of the branching ratio for $\overline{B} \rightarrow K^* \gamma$
Hugh Shanahan, UKQCD Collaboration

TL;DR
This paper presents lattice QCD calculations of the form factor for the radiative decay B K , showing weak dependence on spectator quark mass and consistency with experimental data.
Contribution
The study provides the first lattice QCD calculation of the B K form factor, including analysis of spectator quark mass effects.
Findings
Form factor weakly depends on spectator quark mass.
Results are statistically consistent with experimental data.
Both full chiral extrapolation and assumed independence yield similar results.
Abstract
Preliminary results are presented on the calculation of the relevant form factor for the radiative decay We find that the form factor is weakly dependent on the spectator quark mass. We compare the results obtained for a full chiral extrapolation and where this independence is assumed. Both results are found to be statistically consistent with the experimental data.
