Contribution
First lattice QCD calculation of the Isgur-Wise function using Wilson action for heavy and light quarks, with initial numerical results.
Findings
Initial numerical results for the Isgur-Wise function.
Validation of lattice QCD approach for heavy meson transitions.
Demonstration of feasibility for future detailed studies.
Abstract
We calculate the Isgur-Wise function by measuring the heavy-heavy meson transition matrix element on the lattice. The standard Wilson action is used for both the heavy and light quarks. Our first numerical results are presented.
