Critical Momenta of Lattice Chiral Fermions
Karl Jansen, Martin Schmaltz

TL;DR
This paper identifies the critical momenta for chiral fermions in a domain wall lattice model, comparing finite and infinite systems to understand their chiral properties across momentum space.
Contribution
It explicitly determines the critical momenta for chiral fermions in the Kaplan domain wall model across various parameters, highlighting differences between finite and infinite lattices.
Findings
Critical momenta depend on domain wall mass and Wilson coupling.
Regions of chirality are explicitly mapped in momentum space.
Finite lattice effects on critical momenta are analyzed.
Abstract
We determine the critical momenta for chiral fermions in the domain wall model recently suggested by Kaplan. For a wide range of domain wall masses and Wilson couplings we explicitly exhibit the regions in momentum space where the fermions are chiral. We compare the critical momenta for the infinitely large system with those obtained on a finite lattice.
