Gauge Fixing on the Lattice without Ambiguity
Jeroen C. Vink, Uwe-Jens Wiese

TL;DR
This paper introduces a new lattice gauge fixing method that is rotation invariant, smooth like Landau gauge, computationally efficient, and unambiguous for nearly all configurations.
Contribution
It presents a novel gauge fixing condition that overcomes ambiguity issues and maintains desirable properties, improving lattice gauge theory computations.
Findings
The new gauge fixing condition is rotation invariant.
It is computationally efficient to implement.
The method is unambiguous for almost all configurations.
Abstract
A new gauge fixing condition is discussed, which is (lattice) rotation invariant, has the `smoothness' properties of the Landau gauge but can be efficiently computed and is unambiguous for almost all lattice gauge field configurations.
