The Running Coupling from Lattice Gauge Theory
Chris Michael (University of Liverpool, Liverpool, UK)

TL;DR
This paper presents a method to determine the running coupling constant in lattice gauge theory by analyzing the inter-quark potential, providing estimates for the scale parameter in SU(2) pure gauge theory.
Contribution
It introduces a precise approach to extract the running coupling from lattice data, illustrating the method with detailed SU(2) results.
Findings
Successful determination of the running coupling for various R-values
Estimation of the scale parameter Λ_MSbar in SU(2) gauge theory
Validation of the method through detailed lattice calculations
Abstract
From an accurate determination of the inter-quark potential, one can study the running coupling constant for a range of -values and hence estimate the scale . Detailed results are presented for pure gauge theory to illustrate the method.
