Chirally improving Wilson fermions III. The Schr\"odinger functional
Roberto Frezzotti, Giancarlo Rossi

TL;DR
This paper demonstrates a method to construct a Schrödinger functional for Wilson fermions on the lattice, achieving O(a) improvement for expectation values of certain operators, with boundary effects considered.
Contribution
It introduces a construction of the Schrödinger functional for Wilson fermions that improves expectation values of ${ m R}_5$-even operators up to boundary effects.
Findings
Expectation values of ${ m R}_5$-even operators are O(a) improved.
The construction accounts for boundary effects.
The method enhances lattice QCD simulations involving Wilson fermions.
Abstract
We show that it is possible to construct a lattice Schroedinger functional for standard Wilson fermions, where the expectation values of -even operators are O() improved, up to terms coming from the boundaries.
