Heavy Quark Potentials and Quarkonia Binding
P. Petreczky

TL;DR
This paper reviews recent lattice QCD studies on how inter-quark forces change at finite temperature and discusses their implications for quarkonium binding in potential models.
Contribution
It synthesizes recent progress in understanding in-medium quark interactions and applies these insights to quarkonium binding models.
Findings
In-medium modifications of inter-quark forces are characterized at finite temperature.
Implications for quarkonium stability and binding energies are discussed.
Lattice QCD results inform potential model applications.
Abstract
I review recent progress in studying in-medium modification of inter-quark forces at finite temperature in lattice QCD. Some applications to the problem of quarkonium binding in potential models is also discussed.
