Brian C. Tiburzi

TL;DR
This paper calculates heavy baryon masses using partially quenched heavy hadron chiral perturbation theory to aid in extrapolating lattice QCD results for these masses.
Contribution
It provides next-to-leading order calculations of heavy baryon masses in a partially quenched chiral perturbation theory framework, including non-degenerate light flavors.
Findings
Results facilitate lattice QCD mass extrapolations.
Calculations include three light flavors and two non-degenerate flavors.
Provides necessary formulas for future lattice studies.
Abstract
The masses of baryons containing a heavy quark are calculated to next-to-leading order in partially quenched heavy hadron chiral perturbation theory. Calculations are performed for three light flavors in the isospin limit and additionally for two light non-degenerate flavors. The results presented are necessary for extrapolating lattice QCD and partially quenched lattice QCD calculations of the heavy hadron masses.
