TL;DR
This paper reports preliminary lattice QCD results for the charmonium spectrum using overlap fermions, focusing on hyperfine splitting, with findings depending on the scale-setting method.
Contribution
It introduces a study of charmonium spectrum with overlap fermions on quenched lattices, providing new insights into hyperfine splitting calculations.
Findings
Hyperfine splitting estimated at 104(5) MeV using $1ar{P}-1ar{S}$
Hyperfine splitting estimated at 88(4) MeV using $r_0$=0.5 fm
Results are preliminary and depend on scale setting method.
Abstract
We present preliminary results using overlap fermions for the charmonium spectrum, in particular for hyperfine splitting. Simulations are performed on lattices, with Wilson gauge action at . Depending on how the scale is set, we obtain 104(5) MeV (using ) or 88(4) MeV (using =0.5 fm) for the hyperfine splitting.
