Sofiane Ghadab

TL;DR
This paper reports preliminary lattice simulation results of the two-dimensional O(3) supersymmetric sigma model, demonstrating supersymmetry preservation and coupling independence of the partition function.
Contribution
It introduces a lattice formulation that retains an exact twisted supersymmetry in the O(3) sigma model, with numerical evidence supporting supersymmetry predictions.
Findings
Partition function is independent of coupling.
Lattice formulation preserves twisted supersymmetry.
Numerical results support supersymmetry predictions.
Abstract
We present preliminary numerical results from a lattice study of the two-dimensional O(3) non-linear sigma model. In the continuum this model possesses N=2 supersymmetry. The lattice formulation we use retains an exact (twisted) supersymmetry except for a soft breaking associated with a Wilson mass term needed to remove the doubles. Our numerical results show that the partition function is independent of coupling as predicted by supersymmetry.
