TL;DR
This paper introduces relaxation and preconditioning methods that significantly speed up the inversion of the overlap operator, especially on larger lattices, benefiting propagator calculations and dynamical simulations.
Contribution
The paper proposes novel relaxation and preconditioning techniques that enhance the efficiency of overlap operator inversions, achieving up to fourfold acceleration on small lattices and greater gains on larger ones.
Findings
Achieved fourfold speedup on small lattices
Larger gains observed as lattice size increases
Applicable to propagator calculations and dynamical simulations
Abstract
We present relaxation and preconditioning techniques which accelerate the inversion of the overlap operator by a factor of four on small lattices, with larger gains as the lattice size increases. These improvements can be used in both propagator calculations and dynamical simulations.
