Konstantin Petrov

TL;DR
This paper investigates the singlet free energy of a static quark-antiquark pair at finite temperature in three-flavor QCD, analyzing thermodynamics near the phase transition and lattice scaling behaviors.
Contribution
It provides new lattice QCD results on the singlet free energy and thermodynamics of quark pairs at finite temperature with degenerate quark masses.
Findings
Singlet free energy studied at different temperatures.
Thermodynamics around the QCD phase transition analyzed.
Scaling behavior with lattice spacing and quark masses examined.
Abstract
We study the singlet part of the free energy of a static quark anti-quark pair at finite temperature in three flavor QCD with degenerate quark masses using and 6 lattices with Asqtad staggered fermion action. We look at thermodynamics of the system around phase transition and study its scaling with lattice spacing and quark masses.
