The static tetraquark and pentaquark potentials
C. Alexandrou, G. Koutsou (Univ. of Cyprus)

TL;DR
This paper computes static tetraquark and pentaquark potentials using lattice QCD, comparing them to meson and baryon potentials, and explores their relation to confining potentials in the strong coupling limit.
Contribution
It provides the first lattice QCD calculations of static tetraquark and pentaquark potentials at two different lattice spacings, comparing them to various theoretical models.
Findings
Static potentials are consistent with meson and baryon sums.
Potential behavior aligns with confining potential in strong coupling expansion.
Results inform understanding of multiquark state confinement.
Abstract
We evaluate the static and potentials in the quenched theory at and on a lattice of size . We compare the static potentials to the sum of two meson potentials for the tetraquark system and to the sum of the baryonic and mesonic potentials for the pentaquark state, as well as, with the confining potential obtained in the strong coupling expansion.
