Continuum limit of the spectrum of the hadronic string
Pushan Majumdar

TL;DR
This paper investigates the continuum limit of key spectral predictions of hadronic string theory, specifically the Luescher term and energy gaps, in 3D SU(2) lattice gauge theory, comparing simulations with theoretical models.
Contribution
It provides a detailed numerical analysis of the continuum limit of the Luescher term and energy differences, validating theoretical predictions with lattice data.
Findings
The Luescher term approaches the theoretical value in the continuum limit.
Energy differences between states match predictions from string theory.
Simulation results support the universality of the hadronic string spectrum.
Abstract
We look at the continuum limit of the two universal predictions of the hadronic string theory namely the Luescher term and the energy difference between successive energy states in three dimensional SU(2) lattice gauge theory using Wilson loops and Polyakov loop correlators. We also compare our simulation data with the theoretical predictions in hep-th/0406205.
