Charmonium systems after the deconfinement transition
Saumen Datta, Frithjof Karsch, Peter Petreczky, Ines Wetzorke

TL;DR
This study investigates charmonium states post-deconfinement transition using lattice QCD, revealing that some states like J/psi and eta_c survive at high temperatures, while others like chi_c are significantly affected.
Contribution
It provides new lattice QCD evidence that certain charmonium states remain bound above the deconfinement temperature, extending understanding of quark-gluon plasma properties.
Findings
J/psi and eta_c survive up to 2.25 T_c
Chi_c states are significantly modified above T_c
Bound states persist at high temperatures
Abstract
The behavior of charmonia after the deconfinement transition is investigated on quenched lattices. Analysis of temporal correlators on fine lattices at temperatures upto 3 T_c show that the J/psi and eta_c survive the deconfinement transition with little significant changes, and survive as bound states at least upto 2.25 T_c. The spatially excited chi_c states suffer serious system modifications, maybe dissolution, already a little above T_c.
