TL;DR
This paper investigates the excitations of gluonic flux tubes using lattice Monte Carlo simulations and compares the results with effective string models to understand their behavior.
Contribution
It provides new Monte Carlo simulation data on flux tube excitations and evaluates their agreement with theoretical string models.
Findings
Simulation results match some predictions of effective string models.
Identifies discrepancies between models and lattice data.
Enhances understanding of gluonic flux tube dynamics.
Abstract
The excitations of gluonic flux tube in a periodic lattice are examined. Monte Carlo simulations from an anisotropic lattice are presented and the comparison with effective string models is discussed.
