The abelian projection revisited
A. Di Giacomo, G. Paffuti

TL;DR
This paper reexamines the abelian projection in the SU(N) Higgs model, discusses its extension to QCD, and demonstrates that dual superconductivity of the vacuum is an inherent property regardless of the abelian projection choice.
Contribution
It provides a new analysis of abelian projection within the SU(N) Higgs model and establishes the intrinsic nature of dual superconductivity in the vacuum.
Findings
Dual superconductivity is an intrinsic property of the vacuum.
The extension of abelian projection analysis to QCD is discussed.
Dual superconductivity does not depend on the choice of abelian projection.
Abstract
Abelian projection is reanalysed in the frame of the SU(N) Higgs model. The extension to QCD is discussed. It is shown that dual superconductivity of the vacuum is an intrinsic property independent of the choice of the abelian projection.
