Chiral symmetry on a lattice with hopping interactions
Takanori Sugihara

TL;DR
This paper proposes a lattice fermion formulation that resolves species doubling by using hopping interactions, enabling approximate chiral symmetry with minimal deviation from continuum behavior.
Contribution
It introduces a novel hopping interaction method to address species doubling and realize approximate chiral symmetry on the lattice.
Findings
Species doubling problem is resolved with hopping interactions.
Approximate chiral symmetry is achieved on the lattice.
Deviation from continuum fermion propagator is minimal.
Abstract
The species doubling problem of the lattice fermion is resolved by introducing hopping interactions that mix left- and right-handed fermions around the momentum boundary. Approximate chiral symmetry is realized on the lattice. The deviation of the fermion propagator from the continuum one is small.
