Speeding up the HMC: QCD with Clover-Improved Wilson Fermions
M. Hasenbusch, K. Jansen

TL;DR
This paper demonstrates a method to significantly accelerate Hybrid-Monte-Carlo simulations in two-flavor QCD with clover-improved Wilson fermions, achieving over twice the speed for small quark masses.
Contribution
The authors adapt a recent acceleration technique to two-flavor QCD with clover-improvement, improving simulation efficiency.
Findings
Over a twofold speed-up at small quark masses
Effective application of the new method to dynamical fermion systems
Potential for more efficient lattice QCD simulations
Abstract
We apply a recent proposal to speed up the Hybrid-Monte-Carlo simulation of systems with dynamical fermions to two flavor QCD with clover-improvement. For our smallest quark masses we see a speed-up of more than a factor of two compared with the standard algorithm.
