Improving the Partial-Global Stochastic Metropolis Update for Dynamical Smeared Link Fermions
Anna Hasenfratz, Andrei Alexandru

TL;DR
This paper enhances the partial-global stochastic Metropolis algorithm for smeared link staggered fermions, demonstrating improved efficiency and feasibility on larger lattices through autocorrelation time analysis.
Contribution
It introduces methods to improve the PGSM algorithm and provides autocorrelation measurements showing its practicality on larger lattice sizes.
Findings
Improved autocorrelation times for the PGSM algorithm
Feasibility of the update on reasonably large lattices
Enhanced efficiency of the stochastic Metropolis method
Abstract
We discuss several methods that improve the partial-global stochastic Metropolis (PGSM) algorithm for smeared link staggered fermions. We present autocorrelation time measurements and argue that this update is feasible even on reasonably large lattices.
