TL;DR
This study investigates the gluon propagator in the Laplacian gauge across different SU(N_c) gauge groups using quenched lattice QCD, revealing minimal dependence on the number of colors and suggesting an almost N_c-independent gluon pole mass.
Contribution
The paper provides the first detailed analysis of the gluon propagator's dependence on N_c in Laplacian gauge within quenched lattice QCD, highlighting its near independence from the number of colors.
Findings
Weak N_c dependence of the gluon propagator across momentum range
Gluon pole mass is nearly N_c-independent in units of string tension
Supports universality of gluon properties in different SU(N_c) gauge theories
Abstract
We examine the gluon propagator in the Laplacian gauge in quenched lattice QCD as a function of the number of colours. We observe a weak dependence on over the whole momentum range. This implies an almost -independent gluon pole mass in units of the string tension.
