F.Palumbo

TL;DR
The paper introduces a series expansion method for the QCD partition function that isolates contributions from valence quarks and quark-antiquark pairs, enabling detailed analysis of baryonic sectors across densities.
Contribution
It presents a novel series expansion of the quark determinant in the baryonic sector, facilitating studies from nucleons to dense baryonic matter.
Findings
Provides a gauge-invariant expansion of the quark determinant
Enables analysis of baryonic sectors from nucleons to high densities
Offers a new tool for investigating QCD in various baryonic regimes
Abstract
We propose a formulation of the QCD partition function which leads to a series expansion of the quark determinant in any given baryonic sector. The r-th term gives the gauge-invariant contribution of the valence quarks plus r quark-antiquark pairs. This expansion can be used to investigate any baryonic sector, starting from the nucleon up to high baryonic densities.
