V.A. Belavin, M.N. Chernodub, M.I. Polikarpov

TL;DR
This paper numerically investigates Frohlich and Marchetti's monopole creation operator within the Abelian Higgs model, demonstrating its effectiveness in detecting monopole condensation when dynamical matter fields are present.
Contribution
It provides the first numerical validation that the Frohlich-Marchetti monopole creation operator accurately signals monopole condensation in the Abelian Higgs model.
Findings
The operator detects monopole condensation in the presence of dynamical matter.
Numerical evidence supports the operator's effectiveness.
The study enhances understanding of monopole dynamics in gauge theories.
Abstract
The monopole creation operator proposed recently by Frohlich and Marchetti is investigated in the Abelian Higgs model with compact gauge field. We show numerically that the creation operator detects the condensation of monopoles in the presence of the dynamical matter field.
