Meson Screening Masses at high Temperature in quenched QCD with improved Wilson Quarks
Edwin Laermann, Peter Schmidt

TL;DR
This study investigates meson screening masses and wave functions in quenched QCD with improved Wilson quarks across the confinement-deconfinement transition, revealing temperature effects and free quark behavior above T_c.
Contribution
It provides new lattice QCD data on meson properties at high temperatures using improved Wilson fermions, especially above the phase transition.
Findings
No significant temperature effect below T_c
Meson screening masses above T_c are consistent with free quark behavior
Spatial wave functions show expected changes across the transition
Abstract
We report on a lattice investigation of improved quenched Wilson fermions above and below the confinement-deconfinement phase transition. Results on meson screening masses as well as spatial wave functions are presented. Moreover, the meson dispersion relation is studied. Below the critical temperature we do not observe any significant temperature effect while above the data are consistent with a leading free quark behavior.
