TL;DR
This paper studies how a medium affects quantum chromodynamics (QCD) interactions, focusing on screening and mass effects by calculating potentials and propagators in a simplified quenched approximation.
Contribution
It provides new lattice QCD calculations of medium effects on the heavy quark potential and propagators in both short and long-distance regimes.
Findings
Evidence of chromoelectric screening in the potential
Mass generation observed in quark and gluon propagators
Quantitative analysis of medium modifications at different distances
Abstract
We investigate medium effects in QCD like chromoelectric screening and quasi-particle mass generation by calculating the heavy quark potential as well as the temporal quark and gluon Coulomb gauge propagators in quenched approximation.
