Photon Structure Functions from Quenched Lattice QCD
Xiangdong Ji, Chulwoo Jung

TL;DR
This paper computes the first moment of the photon structure function using quenched lattice QCD, providing a theoretical estimate that is compared with experimental data and models.
Contribution
It introduces a lattice QCD calculation of the photon structure function's first moment, focusing on connected contractions, which is a novel approach in this context.
Findings
First moment calculated on quenched lattices at $eta=6.0$
Results compared with experimental data and models
Provides a benchmark for lattice QCD in photon structure studies
Abstract
We calculate the first moment of the photon structure function, , on the quenched lattices with using the formalism developed by the authors recently. In this exploratory study, we take into account only the connected contractions. The result is compared with the experimental data as well as model predictions.
