TL;DR
This paper applies the Padé-Z2 stochastic estimator to compute quark loop corrections in lattice QCD, focusing on error analysis and control methods for the estimator.
Contribution
It introduces the use of Padé-Z2 stochastic estimator for determinant calculations in lattice QCD and addresses error management in this context.
Findings
Identification of main error sources in the estimator
Methods for controlling stochastic estimation errors
Application to quark loop correction calculations
Abstract
We use the Pad\'e-Z stochastic estimator for calculating Tr log M to compute quark loop corrections to quenched QCD. We examine the main source of error in this technique and look at a way of controlling it.
