TL;DR
This paper presents a calculation of the kaon B parameter ($B_K$) using quenched domain-wall fermions in lattice QCD, providing a precise estimate consistent with previous results and analyzing systematic effects.
Contribution
First calculation of $B_K$ with quenched domain-wall fermions including detailed systematic analysis and continuum matching.
Findings
$B_K(2 GeV) = 0.5746(61)$ in the $ar{MS}$ scheme
Results are consistent with previous Kogut-Susskind quark calculations
Systematic effects due to finite size and fifth-dimensional extent are examined
Abstract
We report on a calculation of with domain wall fermion action in quenched QCD. Simulations are made with a renormalization group improved gauge action at and 2.9 corresponding to GeV and 3GeV. Effects due to finite fifth dimensional size and finite spatial size are examined in detail. Matching to the continuum operator is made perturbatively at one loop order. We obtain , where the error is statistical only, as an estimate of the continuum value in the scheme with naive dimensional regularization. This value is smaller but consistent with obtained by the JLQCD Collaboration using the Kogut-Susskind quark action. Results for strange quark mass are also reported.
