TL;DR
This paper investigates string breaking in lattice QCD, analyzing the mixing between broken and unbroken string states to understand non-perturbative long-distance phenomena like meson decays.
Contribution
It provides a lattice operator mixing analysis at zero temperature to determine level splitting and mixing energy related to string breaking.
Findings
Quantifies the level splitting between string states.
Determines the mixing energy for string breaking.
Provides insights into non-perturbative QCD phenomena.
Abstract
String breaking is a non-perturbative long-distance feature of QCD that is involved in for example meson decays. A mixing analysis of lattice operators at zero temperature gives the level splitting and mixing energy between the broken and unbroken string states.
