Measurement of the CP-violation parameter sin(2beta) in B0 to J/psi-Kshort decays
G. Bauer

TL;DR
This paper reports a measurement of the CP-violation parameter sin(2beta) in B0 to J/psi-Kshort decays using 400 collision events, providing evidence consistent with the standard model's prediction of large CP violation.
Contribution
First direct measurement of sin(2beta) in B0 to J/psi-Kshort decays using proton-antiproton collision data.
Findings
Measured sin(2beta) = 0.79 with uncertainties
Results favor the standard model prediction of large CP violation
Supports the existence of CP violation in B0 decays
Abstract
A sample of 400 decays collected in collisions by the CDF detector is used to directly measure the CP-violation parameter . We find ,favoring the standard model expectation of a large violation in this decay mode.
