D0 Collaboration, B. Abbott, et al

TL;DR
This paper reports measurements of the transverse momentum distributions of W and Z bosons produced in proton-antiproton collisions at 1.8 TeV, comparing results with theoretical predictions from perturbative QCD and soft gluon resummation.
Contribution
First detailed measurement of W and Z boson transverse momentum distributions at 1.8 TeV, validating theoretical models over a broad pt range.
Findings
Results agree with perturbative QCD predictions
Soft gluon resummation accurately describes low pt region
Data covers pt from 0 to 200 GeV/c
Abstract
We present measurements of the transverse momentum distribution of W and Z bosons produced in pbar p collisions at sqrt(s) = 1.8 TeV. The data were collected with the D0 detector at Fermilab during 1994-1996 Tevatron run. The results are in good agreement with theoretical predictions based on the perturbative QCD and soft gluon resummation combined calculation over the entire measured pt range p_T = 0-200 GeV/c).
