Fragmentation in DIS
Leszek Zawiejski (for the ZEUS Collaboration)

TL;DR
This paper investigates fragmentation in deep-inelastic scattering at HERA to test perturbative QCD and quark fragmentation universality, comparing results with electron-positron collisions and exploring the target region.
Contribution
It provides new experimental results on fragmentation properties in DIS, including single particle distributions and two-particle correlations, extending studies to the target region of the Breit frame.
Findings
Fragmentation properties in DIS are consistent with QCD predictions.
Quark fragmentation universality is supported by comparison with $e^{+}e^{-}$ data.
New insights into the target region fragmentation are presented.
Abstract
The fragmentation properties in deep-inelastic scattering (DIS) at HERA are investigated in order to test perturbative QCD and quark fragmentation universality. Selected results for the inclusive single particle distributions and the angular two-particle correlations in the current region of the Breit frame are presented and compared to results from collisions. The extension of the DIS fragmentation studies to the target region of the Breit frame are also reported.
