Semi-leptonic Decays of Heavy Quarks in Dijet Photoproduction at HERA
M. Wing (On behalf of the ZEUS collaboration)

TL;DR
This paper reports on the measurement of heavy quark production, specifically beauty quarks, in photoproduction events at HERA using the ZEUS detector, focusing on semi-leptonic decays with electron and jet signatures.
Contribution
It presents the first measurement of beauty quark cross-section in photoproduction at HERA using electron-jet correlations and the $p_T^{rel}$ distribution.
Findings
Measured beauty cross-section in a specific phase space region.
Demonstrated the effectiveness of $p_T^{rel}$ for heavy quark identification.
Provided data consistent with QCD predictions.
Abstract
The production of heavy quarks has been studied in photoproduction processes with the ZEUS detector at HERA using an integrated luminosity of . Events with a photon virtuality, , were selected with two jets of high transverse energy and an electron in the final state. Consideration of the distribution in - the momentum of the electron transverse to the axis of the jet to which the electron is closest - allows a measurement of the beauty cross-section in a restricted region of phase space.
