TL;DR
This paper investigates the production of the Lambda-K system in hadron interactions, revealing A-dependence in certain distributions and proposing an intermediate excited nucleon state as the cause, supported by experimental data.
Contribution
It provides new experimental evidence of A-dependence in Lambda-K production and interprets it through an intermediate excited nucleon state, confirmed by pion-nucleon interaction data.
Findings
A-dependence observed in $x_F$-distributions for Lambda-K^0 system
No similar A-dependence seen for Lambda hyperons
Intermediate excited nucleon state decays into strange particles
Abstract
The A-dependence is observed in -distributions for the system produced with the small transverse momentum in the neutron-nucleus interactions. For the hyperons similar dependence isn't seen. The result is interpreted as an effect from intermediate excitative nucleon state, which decays into strange particles. Such interpretation is confirmed experimental data on pair production in the pion-nucleon interactions.
