TL;DR
This paper reports an experimental measurement of the decay rate of phi(1020) into eta and gamma particles, specifically through the eta decay into three neutral pions, providing precise branching ratio data.
Contribution
The study provides a new, precise measurement of the branching ratio for phi(1020) decaying into eta and gamma in a multi-photon final state.
Findings
Branching ratio B(phi--->eta+gamma) = (1.246 +- 0.025 +- 0.057)%
First measurement of this decay mode in the specified final state
Enhanced understanding of phi meson decay channels
Abstract
In the SND experiment at VEPP-2M e^+e^- collider the phi(1020) ---> eta+gamma ---> 3pi^0+gamma decay was studied. The branching ratio B(phi--->eta+gamma) = (1.246 +- 0.025 +- 0.057)% was measured.
