Dynamics of Multijet Processes in Photoproduction
L. E. Sinclair (for the ZEUS Collaboration)

TL;DR
This paper measures the production of three high-energy jets in photoproduction at HERA, analyzing their angular distribution and comparing it with theoretical models, finding good agreement with pQCD calculations.
Contribution
It provides the first detailed measurement of three-jet cross sections and angular distributions in photoproduction, testing QCD predictions against experimental data.
Findings
Three-jet production cross section measured for M_3J > 50 GeV.
Angular distribution inconsistent with uniform phase space.
Parton shower models and pQCD calculations describe the data well.
Abstract
The cross section for producing three high transverse energy jets with a three-jet invariant mass of M_3J > 50 GeV has been measured in photoproduction at HERA. The angular distribution of the three jets is presented and found to be inconsistent with a uniform population of the available phase space. In contrast, parton shower models and O(alpha alpha_s^2) pQCD calculations are able to describe the three jet dynamics.
