This paper reports on the measurement of $(1232)$ isobar electroproduction at VEPP-2M, providing data useful for future high-luminosity collider experiments and estimating expected event rates.
Contribution
It presents the first experimental data on $(1232)$ electroproduction in $e^+e^-$ collisions at VEPP-2M and estimates its significance for future collider experiments.
Findings
Measured $(1232)$ electroproduction rates
Estimated event rates for future colliders
Provided data for collider physics planning
Abstract
Results from the Spherical Nonmagnetic Detector (SND) on isobar electroproduction in the collisions of beam electrons (positrons) and residual gas nuclei in the VEPP-2M collider are presented. On the basis of the obtained data the expected counting rate of this process in future high luminosity colliders (~-, -- and -factories) was estimated.
