Zhi-zhong Xing

TL;DR
This paper analyzes the phase-convention dependence of the CP-violating parameter _B in B_d^0-ar{B}_d^0 mixing and discusses the limitations of using _B for studying CP violation.
Contribution
It provides an analysis of the phase-convention dependence of _B and comments on experimental constraints, highlighting its limited usefulness for CP violation studies.
Findings
_B depends on phase conventions.
CLEO and OPAL constraints on Re_B are discussed.
_B has limited advantage for CP violation analysis.
Abstract
We make an analysis of the phase-convention dependence of the CP-violating parameter \epsilon_B and give some comments on the reported CLEO and OPAL constraints on Re\epsilon_B. It is emphasized that \epsilon_B has little advantage for the study of CP violation in the B^0_d-\bar{B}^0_d system.
