TL;DR
This paper presents measurements of W and Z boson properties, including production cross sections, decay widths, lepton universality, and mass, based on D0 Tevatron data, contributing to precision tests of the Standard Model.
Contribution
It provides new experimental results on W and Z boson parameters using Tevatron Run 1B data, including the first measurement of the W boson mass in this dataset.
Findings
Measured W and Z production cross sections
Determined W width and W boson mass
Tested lepton universality with W decays to tau
Abstract
Results from analyses of events with W and Z bosons are presented for the D0 Tevatron run 1B data samples. From the leptonic decays of the W and Z, the W and Z production cross sections and the W width are determined. Events in which the W decays into a tau and neutrino are used to determine the ratio of the electroweak gauge coupling constants as a measure of lepton universality. Using W and Z decays into electrons, the the W boson mass is measured.
