$\Lambda\bar{\Lambda}$ Production in Two-Photon Interactions at CLEO
S. Anderson, et al. (CLEO Collaboration)

TL;DR
This paper reports the first observation of two-photon production of Lambda-antiLambda pairs at CLEO, measuring the cross-section and comparing it with quark-diquark model predictions.
Contribution
It provides the first experimental measurement of gamma-gamma to Lambda-antiLambda production and compares it with theoretical models.
Findings
First observation of gamma-gamma to Lambda-antiLambda production.
Measured cross-sections as a function of center of mass energy.
Comparison with quark-diquark model predictions.
Abstract
Using the CLEO detector at the Cornell storage ring, CESR, we study the two-photon production of , making the first observation of . We present the cross-section for as a function of the center of mass energy and compare it to that predicted by the quark-diquark model.
