TL;DR
This paper analyzes CPLEAR experimental data on neutral kaon decays to set upper limits on CPT-violation parameters, providing constraints relevant to quantum gravity theories.
Contribution
It introduces a novel approach to constrain CPT violation in the neutral kaon system using quantum-mechanical open system formulations and recent experimental data.
Findings
Upper limits on CPT-violation parameters are close to quantum gravity predictions.
Data analysis constrains CPT violation in neutral kaon decays.
Results improve bounds on fundamental symmetry violations.
Abstract
We use fits to recent published CPLEAR data on neutral kaon decays to and to constrain the CPT--violation parameters appearing in a formulation of the neutral kaon system as an open quantum-mechanical system. The obtained upper limits of the CPT--violation parameters are approaching the range suggested by certain ideas concerning quantum gravity.
