M. Bishai, et al. (CLEO Collaboration)

TL;DR
This paper reports measurements of decay asymmetry parameters in specific Lambda_c+ decay modes, providing insights into parity violation and testing theoretical models of charmed baryon decay.
Contribution
First measurements of decay asymmetry parameters for Lambda_c+ to Lambda pi+ and Sigma+ pi0 decays, enabling tests of decay models.
Findings
Measured asymmetry parameters: -0.94 for Lambda pi+ and -0.45 for Sigma pi0 decays.
Extracted parity-violating and parity-conserving amplitudes.
Results used to evaluate theoretical models of nonleptonic charmed baryon decay.
Abstract
We have measured the weak decay asymmetry parameters () for two \LC\ decay modes. Our measurements are for the decay mode and for the decay mode . By combining these measurements with the previously measured decay rates, we have extracted the parity-violating and parity-conserving amplitudes. These amplitudes are used to test models of nonleptonic charmed baryon decay.
