$B$ Meson Lifetimes at CDF
J. Skarha (for the CDF Collaboration)

TL;DR
This paper reports measurements of $B$ meson lifetimes using semileptonic and exclusive decay channels at CDF, leveraging precise silicon vertex detector data from Fermilab's Tevatron, and compares these results with prior measurements.
Contribution
It provides new $B$ meson lifetime measurements using the CDF detector with improved vertex resolution from 1992-93 data, enhancing the precision of existing lifetime data.
Findings
Measured $B_u$, $B_d$, and $B_s$ lifetimes with semileptonic and exclusive decays.
Results are consistent with previous measurements, confirming the $B$ meson lifetime hierarchy.
Demonstrated the effectiveness of the silicon vertex detector in lifetime measurements.
Abstract
Measurements of the , , and meson lifetime using semileptonic events and exclusive events are presented. These results used the precise position measurements of the CDF SVX silicon vertex detector and were obtained from a 19.3 pb sample of 1.8 TeV collisions collected in 1992-93 at the Fermilab Tevatron collider. Comparisons with previous measurements will be shown.
