Inclusive Search for New Physics with Like-Sign Dilepton Events in ppbar Collisions at sqrt{s} = 1.96 TeV
CDF collaboration

TL;DR
This paper reports a search for same-sign dilepton events in proton-antiproton collisions at 1.96 TeV, aiming to find signs of new physics beyond the standard model, but finds no significant excess.
Contribution
It introduces a more sensitive search method for anomalous same-sign dilepton production using 1 fb^{-1} of data from the CDF II detector.
Findings
No significant excess observed in inclusive selection
Observed events are consistent with standard model expectations
Enhanced sensitivity compared to previous searches
Abstract
We describe a search for anomalous production of events with two leptons ( or ) of the same electric charge in \ppbar collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 1.96 TeV. Many extensions to the standard model predict the production of two leptons of the same electric charge. This search has a significant increase in sensitivity compared to earlier searches. Using a data sample corresponding to 1 \invfb of integrated luminosity recorded by the CDF II detector, we observe no significant excess in an inclusive selection (expect events, observe 44) or in a SUSY-optimized selection (expect events, observe 13.)
